Fitness classes and activities abound at Lincoln Athletic Club! We have something for everyone. What class is best for you? First, start by evaluating your fitness goals. Are you trying to lose weight or maintain? Are you wanting to tone up or build stamina? Second, you will want to do something that fits you personally and you are comfortable with. Do you like groups or do you like to workout alone?

We offer all kinds of group fitness classes. Check out the calendar on the main page of our website for times for our various classes.

Our Classes:

BODYCOMBAT is an empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music you will strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness. Benefits include: Improved cardiovascular efficiency, Tones and shapes key muscle groups, Burns calories for a leaner body, improves balance, posture, core strength and stability and builds self-confidence.

BODYFLOW is a Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

BODYPUMP is a highly motivating, moderate to high intensity barbell-based resistance training class all set to the latest music. Focusing on strength endurance, high reps of moderate weight and weight room exercises, this class will get you maximum total body results in the shortest amount of time.

BODYSTEP is an energizing step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get huge motivation from sing-a-long music and approachable instructors. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

CXworx is a short, sharp 30 minute class that really hones in on torso and sling muscles all set to the latest music. It is ideal for tightening the entire core, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention.

Functional Strength/ Cardio Circuit is a light to moderate cardio and strength workout utilizing tubing, light hand weights, and stability balls to name a few. This class lets you move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activities for daily living skills, as well as have fun at the same time!

H.I.T. class is based on Krav Maga which is the official self defense and fighting system of the Israel Military forces and many US law enforcement groups.  HIT is 45 minutes of punches, kicks, blocks, conditioning and fun!  This class is a fantastic high energy workout.  If this is your first class, please come 15 minutes early for a brief orientation.

Kickboxing will add variety to your exercise program.  This class includes a great cardio workout, kickboxing drills, and use of punching bags.  Gloves must be worn in this class.  Come join the fun!

Kickboxing Fusion where Kickboxing meets boot camp ’til you can do no more! A fun mix of drills, intervals and plyometrics utilizing Kickboxing bags, free weights, body-weight training, and more.

Mat Pilates is a highly effective form of full body conditioning for all fitness levels.  Designed to strengthen the body’s core muscles, Pilates also increases flexibility, improves coordination and posture, and creates a lean, toned physique.  Primarily body weight exercises, but also utilizing resistance bands or rings, dumbbells, foam rollers and physio balls. Intensities can be  modified to best meet each participants fitness needs.

LAC BARRE lift and sculpt in this Pilates/Ballet inspired workout!  After a warm up that revisits the essential barre moves, proper posture and stance, get ready for challenging both the upper and lower body through key sequences and weighted movements.  Mat work will follow along with a standing leg series that will leave you shaking.  Develop muscles that you didn't know you had in our Barre Classes.  Free for our members on our group schedule!

Power Yoga This vinyasa class will help you sweat and smile! The sequences will build heat allowing you to experience new levels of strength and flexibility while calming the mind leaving you peaceful and energized. Expect plenty of core and caturanga  push ups in this high energy class! All levels welcome!

Gentle Yoga unites the mind, body and breath. Breath guides the body into physical postures creating peace and calm in the mind. Yoga is much more than just physical postures (asanas) and has benefits far beyond the physical. Yoga is known to improve mood, posture, and digestion, relieve stress and anxiety, improve lung capacity, strength and flexibility while helping to decrease injuries and /or heal from previous injuries. Yoga can also help with sleep as it helps to create a sense of peace and calm.

Basic Flow Yoga This class is built to establish a healthy foundation for your vinyasa  practice. Learn to connect mind, body, and breath as well as proper form in this all levels flow. Perfect  for  the beginner or advanced practitioner. Energize the body while calming the mind.

Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one of a kind fitness program that will blow you away.  Experience an absolute blast in one hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing movements to engage and captivate for life!

Total Body Sculpt (TBS) With an emphasis on proper form to reduce the risk of injury while improving strength, this class utilizes functional free weight and body weight training with a very motivating instructor.  Get in and get your total body sculpt on!

Strength/Toning This class has the best of strength training for functional movement combined with light cardio segments.  Equipment used are dumbbells, body bars, bands and more.  Come prepared to work hard in this beginner to intermediate level class.  

Boot Camp Meet us on the turf for this high-intensity indoor/outdoor workout (sand area-weather permitting).  Each class brings its own unique challenges using equipment with tires, hurdles, stability balls, sleds, battling ropes, and much more to target all areas of the body focusing on cardio and muscular endurance and all aspects of athleticism.  Our experienced instructor/trainers genuinely care about your safety including proper exercise form and offer modifications for various levels of fitness.  Expect to sweat in this class full of group camaraderie, hard work, and results!
